This paid, overnight paddle event covers 25 miles on the South Fork of the Kentucky River, beginning and ending in Beattyville. Hosted by Beattyville Lee County Tourism, Beattyville Main Street, and Owsley County Fiscal Court and the City of Booneville, the event includes shuttle transportation to the launch point and dinner at the overnight riverside campsite.
Participants will launch from Wolfe Creek and paddle to Fish Creek on day one, where primitive camping is provided. Camping gear will be transported for participants. Day two continues downstream back to the Beattyville Boat Ramp on River Street. Paddlers must bring their own kayaks or canoes and camping gear. Lodging options are available in Booneville or Beattyville for those who prefer not to camp.
An optional Friday night pre event campout at Fish Creek Boat Ramp includes a bonfire, storytelling, and smores.
