Adaptive Climber's Festival 2026

  • 950 Blacks Ridge Road Beattyville, Kentucky, 41311 United States (map)

The Adaptive Climbers Festival is a three-day annual event dedicated to making rock climbing accessible, empowering, and enjoyable for people with disabilities. Held in the scenic Red River Gorge region at Lago Linda Hideaway, the festival brings together adaptive climbers of all experience levels to learn new skills, build community, and celebrate outdoor adventure.

In partnership with Catalyst Sports, the festival provides adaptive climbing equipment, specialized rope systems, climbing instruction, and trained volunteers to help participants experience climbing in a way that meets their individual needs. Whether attending your first climbing session or arriving as an experienced competitive paraclimber, the festival offers a welcoming and supportive environment focused on breaking down barriers to outdoor recreation.

The event includes adaptive climbing clinics, workshops, open climbing sessions, camping, community meals, and opportunities to connect with fellow climbers. Participants spend their days exploring some of the region's world-class climbing areas, including routes in the Red River Gorge, while evenings are filled with shared meals, camaraderie, and relaxation at camp.

Designed to be inclusive, accessible, and fun, the Adaptive Climbers Festival creates opportunities for people with disabilities to challenge themselves, gain confidence, and experience the joy of climbing in one of Kentucky's most beautiful outdoor destinations.
