That’s why our property is packed with exciting, hands on play areas that encourage kids to connect with nature, move their bodies, and let their imaginations soar. From forts built in the woods to ninja courses and fishing ponds, every corner of Firefly Hills is designed to spark adventure and laughter. Here’s a peek at all the amazing spaces your kids will love discovering when you visit!
The Hidden Hangout: Adventure Awaits
The Hidden Hangout is where fun meets imagination! Here, kids can climb aboard our log cars and log tractor, set sail on the wooden sailboat, or gather around the campfire ring for pretend cookouts and storytelling.
For those who love a challenge, The Web and The Ninja Course offer chances to climb, balance, and test their agility. We’ve also included plenty of logs and saplings for kids to move and build with, perfect for constructing forts, obstacle courses, or whatever their creativity dreams up.
Coming soon: a slackline for balance and coordination fun! And don’t worry, parents, we’ve thought of you too. There’s a parent bench nearby so you can relax while your kids play freely.
The Whimsical Woods: Where Magic Comes Alive
Step into a storybook world at The Whimsical Woods! Here, children can cook up muddy masterpieces in the mud kitchen, or create enchanting tales in the fairy village, a tiny world tucked among the trees. It’s a place where imagination reigns and nature inspires endless play.
Parents can enjoy the peaceful surroundings from the parent bench, while kids lose themselves in this little woodland wonderland.
The Hammock Circle: Swing, Relax, Repeat
Located near the entrance to The Whimsical Woods, the Hammock Circle is a serene spot where kids (and parents!) can unwind beneath the trees. For a bit more motion, the surf swing and net swing nearby provide plenty of fun, tucked just out of sight for a little extra sense of adventure. It’s the perfect place to rest, read, or sway the afternoon away before heading deeper into the woods for more exploration.
Play Near the House: For Active Fun
Not all of our play spaces are tucked in the woods! Near the farmhouse, kids can enjoy more structured play with basketball, gagaball, and pickleball. These activities are great for burning off energy, making friends, and enjoying a bit of friendly competition.
Fishing Ponds: Quiet Moments and Big Catches
Our two fishing ponds offer a calm and rewarding outdoor experience for kids and families alike. Whether it’s their first time holding a fishing pole or a favorite pastime, fishing at Firefly Hills teaches patience and connection with nature, and maybe even a bit of bragging rights for the biggest catch of the day!
